NPR Talk: Big stories, all June long

There’s always something happening on National Prison Radio’s NPR Talk — and June is one of the busiest months of the year.

Every weekday at 12 noon and 6pm, NPR Talk brings you the latest prison news, important information, big interviews, entertainment and real conversations about life inside.

This June, NPR Talk will be marking several important events and celebrations.

It’s Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month, and the team will be recognising the history, culture and achievements of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

June is also Pride Month — a time to celebrate LGBTQ+ communities and talk about equality, identity and inclusion.

And on Monday 22 June, the show will also mark Windrush Day, which honours the people and families who came to the UK from Caribbean countries and helped shape modern Britain.

Alongside these important conversations, NPR Talk is packed with quizzes, games, shout-outs and moments to make you laugh.

• On Mondays, Thinking Matters: Making Sense Of Me explores mental health, emotions and wellbeing.

• Tuesdays include Youth Custody Service and You, offering advice and support for people aged 15–18 in custody.

• On Thursdays, the Criminal Cases Review Commission shares information and advice about possible miscarriages of justice. 

• Thursdays also include We Care, supporting care-experienced people in prison.

You can hear all of that on NPR Talk, every weekday at 12 noon and 6pm.
