The Intro returns to National Prison Radio
This month The Intro returns to National Prison Radio – a show for music lovers, music makers and those who fancy themselves as future music movers and shakers.
If you’re a regular listener to National Prison Radio, there’s a fair chance you love music. We play hundreds of songs a day – plenty requested by you – and there’s a story behind every single one of them.

Starting Thursday March 17, The Intro is your introduction to a world of music. Each episode, your host Jordan – an aspiring artist himself – will be joined by other former prisoners who are carving out a career in the industry as well as musicians who will be teaching you the theory without the boring bits.
What makes a hit? How do I start my own label? What does an engineer actually do?
We’ll be featuring music organisations already running in prisons to give you mini-masterclasses on music theory and you’ll meet a whole bunch of people who used to be in prison and are now making a name for themselves in the industry. From label bosses to A&R scouts to booking agents and the artists you now hear on National Prison Radio.
