F***ed up system
I was brought into this world by my mum,
she was an addict,
took drugs to block the pain,
I could tell she was damaged.
She gave birth to my bro,
I came eleven months later.
We got taken into care,
but I could never f***in’ hate her.
See, postnatal depression took over,
drugs turned to drink, she couldn’t cope being sober.
A lot of people judged her ‘coz they couldn’t relate,
how she let the system just go and seal our fate.
I moved from home to home,
I just couldn’t adapt.
Outbursts of aggression,
they were calling me tapped.
They had me seein’ the psych,
the social wouldn’t confess
how the system f***ed me up
and got my head in a mess.
