The Silence of the Heart
In this place banished by the sun
where sleep doesn’t find you
minutes turn to hours
and hours to days.
The endless clatter of key-chains
the cries and the tears
Anxiety speaks to me
Impatiently, I wait
Practice sports, pray
One day it will be my turn
But release is worse.
Inside it’s black, we leave without hope
Scary like a haunted house
Where dreams become nightmares
And life makes no sense
Where am I?
In prison or not?
It’s me who says it
Because it’s you who thinks it
You don’t have the courage, so
I release your conscience
The word of a mute man
the gaze of a blind man
touch me as much
as a deaf man inclining his ear to me
