Crime does not pay,
It gets out of order,
That’s what we say to the
Persistent young offender.
You’re getting older,
It’s time to use your head,
Will your mam or Dad be
More supportive then they said?
Ya have a little brother and
He’s tryna be the same,
To carry out offences,
Gave the family a bad name.
Your parents giving up
And ya left to be yourself,
Turn my back on crime,
Put myself upon the shelf.
Best thing about it is
My brother’s followed suit,
Working for the money and
Gave his so-called friends the boot.
Now this life of drink and
Drugs is really not for me,
And my brother never
Spent 1 day in H.M.P!
