The Excellent Mrs Fry – Unlikely Heroine
This biography of Elizabeth Fry is told over four sections beginning with An Unlikely Heroine, abrief introduction about Elizabeth Fry’s life covering childhood, religion and marriage but more importantly details of those initial Newgate prison visits. The author, Anne Isba, informs the reader in the foreword that she would be concentrating on Elizabeth’s reformation work due to the abundance of material available.
