Summer Sun
Feel the weeks slip away
Summer sun shines in May
Full of light, seldom grey
Give it all for one day
For an hour spent with you
We alone make the rays
Feel the day misconstrue
Summer sky splashed blue
Nothing here, nothing new
And all I do is yearn
Things before get me through
Times of old spent with you
Tranquil scenes, sparked seas
You and I on a beach
Hold a gaze far off east
See a life out of reach
We survive until July
Summer sun gone too soon.
