The wrong road well travelled
I have led a life filled with
mayhem, danger and strife,
and I have made many mistakes
and now I’m in prison doing IPP,
basically life!
If I could turn back the clock
I would do things totally different,
I would be wiser, smarter
and a whole lot more resilient!
But I can’t turn back the clock
I need to be more realistic,
I need to think outside the box
and plan ahead and be more futuristic!
I need to learn as much as I can
and then grab every opportunity,
I need to start with my education
then set my sights on Open University!
That is the window to make
my life a whole lot better,
I need to be tougher, wiser, smarter
and a real go-getter!
I need to use the situation and
plan for my life after prison,
I need to come up with the right formula
to go with the vision!
Eventually when I’ve smashed this,
I will get out and be ready to lead my best life,
and then I can put it all behind me
and say goodbye, adios to mayhem, danger and strife!
